Prospecting is the water of life of your network marketing business. Quite simply, it is impossible to survive, let alone prosper, in network marketing if there is not a steady supply of new people joining your team. Network marketers can be separated into three distinct prospector groups and it is worthwhile knowing which group you are in now and whether you need to change groups or not.
The first group are those that enjoy prospecting. It is so natural to them they probably don't even think about it. These people can easily succeed in network marketing.
The second group are uncomfortable with prospecting but they have a great enough reason to succeed at their network marketing business to continue prospecting anyway. Very often these people will, through sheer persistence, soon discover that practice makes perfect and begin to enjoy prospecting, often moving into the first group.
The third group is made up of people dislike prospecting completely. Unfortunately very few have a strong enough reason for being in the network marketing business to succeed. The result is generally failure, but not always if they are prepared to have a rethink.
When you distil the difference between the three groups it boils right down to how comfortable a person is with prospecting. How quickly we achieve something is directly related to how quickly we become comfortable with what we have to do.
I was monitoring some drainage work being done on some land adjacent to our house the other day, and I got talking to the overseer. His ambition was to open up a bookshop. He loved books. He had a library of over 500 books in his home. Each evening he shut himself off from the rest of the household and with a glass of wine in his hand he would settle down in a comfortable chair to read a book.
As we talked, it became obvious to me that this man wasn't ready to open his book store. He didn't have the money to fund a business and the idea of raising the funds through a bank loan was uncomfortable to him - frightening, in fact. He had never attempted this before. He didn't know if he could do it. He didn't have a big enough reason to make him take action. It wasn't that he wasn't capable of being where he wanted to be, he wasn't totally comfortable with the thoughts and feelings yet.
As you know, whatever we do - our actions - are governed by our thoughts and feelings, so if you are uncomfortable with having to do something today, you will tend to put off doing it till sometime in the future. That is what the overseer was doing - procrastinating
How do you get comfortable with the thought of something? By having enough knowledge on how to do something, so that you know that when you take enough action you will achieve the results you want. That knowledge on how to do something is often referred to as know-how, or competence. Competence precedes confidence.
If you are uncomfortable with prospecting, you must decide whether your reason for building a network marketing business is strong enough to sustain you for long enough to gain the knowledge and the practice necessary to change you into a competent, confident prospector.

The Ins and Outs of Traffic Swarm
Traffic Swarm is a Traffic Exchange with some major differences and I recommend the service be incorporated in your marketing strategy. The real benefit of Traffic Swarm is its ability to deliver visitors to your website passively and you should know how to set things up to achieve this. First, let's begin with being a free member of Traffic Swarm.
Free members can list up to 10 separate adverts and you need to make full use of this. The reasons will become obvious shortly. Traffic Swarm bases the amount of visitors to your website on the number of adverts you have active and the number of credits you have in reserve.
For example, if you have done enough surfing to build a reserve of 3,000 credits and you have 10 active adverts, you will have close to 100 of your credits used up per day. This is calculated roughly as follows.
3,000 credits divided by 30 days in a month is 100 credits. Having your full complement of active adverts means your full complement of 100 credits is used on that day. Replenishing your reserve each day, would only require you to surf sufficient sites to generate 100 credits - about 20 to 25 minutes of surfing. With 7 adverts active, you would only benefit from 70% which would be 70 credits. Although it would take less surfing time to replenish the 70 credits, your adverts would be viewed less often.
Now assume that you have your 10 adverts running, 3,000 credits in reserve, plus sufficient members in your group surfing to give you 100 referral credits each day. Your 10 active adverts would be using up 100 credits a day, but all of these would be replenished by the 100 referral credits. So, your bank of 3,000 credits would be maintained without your need to do any surfing. That's passive delivery of website visitors. If you get more people joining your group you have two options.
First you can leave things as they are and as your reserve increases, the daily average usage increases. If for example you had a reserve figure of around 3,600 credits, the number of credits used each day would increase to around 120 meaning your adverts would be viewed more often - that's good. Let's assume that your group were surfing daily, enough to generate 120 referral credits for you. That would mean that you would not be needing to do any surfing yourself. Your Traffic Swarm advertising would remain self-generating with your adverts being shown more often.
The alternative would be to upgrade to the "Pro" level. You could then create more adverts. If you created an additional 2 adverts bringing the total up to 12, then your credit reserve would remain relatively unchanged. Daily usage would be 120 because of the 12 adverts, but would be replenished by the referral credits generated by your group. You would be able to balance the usage by adjusting the number of your active advertisements - pausing and activating them as required.
Although upgrading to "Pro" level would add an extra cost, if you had a team developing below you, you could reasonably expect some of them to upgrade, too. When this happens you will earn a commission, which would offset your monthly subscriptions. As your group membership increased and more upgraded, your earnings would increase and, in time Traffic Swarm could provide an additional income stream for you, as it has for many others.

We know that 5% of network marketing businesses succeed and in time people can make so much money that they qualify for being listed within the top one-tenth of one percent of all the earners in the world. So it is natural to assume that to grow your network marketing business to equal a global conglomerate, you have to be or become some super human-being. In most other occupations this is true. For example, take a look at the super stardom and super wealth of top athletics.

Believing In Your Network Marketing Business
Belief is a mind-set that creates and fuels your new possibilities, attitudes and accomplishments in your network marketing business. If you believe in something, it is not just interest or desire, or hope. It is faith. Belief is your truth, your expectation and as such, your motivation and confidence.
To believe in your products, your network marketing business, the network marketing industry and in your team is a prerequisite for success. However, it is your self-belief that provides you with the key to achieve what you believe, but it is self-belief that people have most trouble with and without which , all else amounts to nothing.
Many network marketers have achieved massive success through teaching people how to believe in themselves followed up with the training needed to underpin that belief. For example, set small goals such as, in internet promotion, writing two original articles a week and posting five messages a day on forums. If you are working offline with DVD's, set a goal to hand out 5 DVD's a week and follow each one up within 48 hours.
Small goals such as these are easily accomplished and will build your self-belief. The unseen accomplishment will be that people will watch the presentation on your website or DVD, join your team and your income will develop. Now you are witnessing the results of your actions that were fueled by your belief. People who don't have the belief don't take action so they cannot achieve results.
Those who have a strong belief will be able to make the necessary log-term commitment to their network marketing business and will naturally be the ones to build massive organisations, eventually. The long-term commitment is especially important during the initial growth of anyone's network marketing business as the day-to-day successes and failures encountered can simulate a roller-coaster ride, mentally.
Hopefully, your sponsor is someone whose mission it is in life to be able to influence thousands upon thousands of people to be just a little bit better than they were yesterday. In your search for ways to make money on the internet, very often you will be presented with offers to be a re-seller. This means you buy information to sell on to others. Frequently, this information is about how someone has made hundreds of thousands of dollars, possibly millions of dollars, by using techniques obtained through purchasing an e-book for seemingly very little money. The impression is that the "up-side" is so massive as to make the purchase price appear trivial.
Take care. Commonly, the person selling the information has made a fortune using methods that exploit a loop-hole in a service. However, the service-provider maybe closing the loop-hole. You could be too late to gain any advantage using the tactics yourself and word may have spread, making it very difficult to sell the information onwards.
Always ask yourself why the person is offering this information to the public at large. What Is The Real Money Earner In Your MLM Home Business?
Most people who are trying to build an MLM home business have a real struggle because they misinterpret what they have to achieve to get paid. Most think that it is selling the company's products or services whilst others think it is building a team. As Network Marketers, we are in business and when you investigate what the real earner is in any business, it is a finished product. Your MLM home business is no exception. So what is your finished product?
In a manufacturing plant for example, raw material is manipulated into a finished product. That product has value and is sold at a profit, generating income. Now I know that many of you will be thinking that in your MLM home business, the company that you registered with takes care of the product manufacturing side of things. That's not your responsibility. How much money are you going to be able to earn from selling your company's products? Will that income lead to your financial freedom? Probably not, so the problem here is that the company's products are not the finished product that you should be focusing on.
What about building a team? So you start a recruiting campaign and you enrol twenty five or thirty distributors who start using and selling the products. You make some extra money and you think that a team is the finished product. But then you want to earn more money, so you recruit more people, but some of the team members drop out and you find yourself recruiting their replacements. You keep working hard, but your team never gets bigger, because members quit as quickly as you can recruit more. This is known as the revolving door syndrome. The reason why members are quitting is because you don't have a finished product, yet. There is one more stage to go.
If you teach your members how to market and promote, then they will be able to achieve their goals through building their own teams. If they are achieving their goals, they are likely to stick around for quite a long time. In any MLM home business, it is members that you have recruited and fully trained to be highly effective in marketing and promotion that will generate the greatest part of your income for you, making them your finished product.

Squidoo! What The Blazes Is That?
I have recently heard a lot of mention about Squidoo being a brilliant promotion tool for any business. I then asked some Pay It Forward 4 Profits Administrators if they knew anything about Squidoo and I was told, "Yes! Quite a lot and it will become part of the Pay It Forward 4 Profits System, very soon!"
Guess what! Good ol' Yours Truly has jumped ahead and had a go at creating a lens. I am now a "lensmaster". Squidoo is, from what I read, an exceptional tool for promoting your websites, but if you think I can manage to explain why, you can think again. What I am going to do is give you a link to a downloadable e-book (pdf file) which explains the concept behind Squidoo.
What I can tell you is that Google loves Squidoo. If you create a lens it will automatically get a Google PR6 Rating. If you then place a link to your Pay It Forward 4 Profits site on your Squidoo Lens it will move your PIF4P website up the Google rankings significantly.

Guess what! Good ol' Yours Truly has jumped ahead and had a go at creating a lens. I am now a "lensmaster". Squidoo is, from what I read, an exceptional tool for promoting your websites, but if you think I can manage to explain why, you can think again. What I am going to do is give you a link to a downloadable e-book (pdf file) which explains the concept behind Squidoo.
What I can tell you is that Google loves Squidoo. If you create a lens it will automatically get a Google PR6 Rating. If you then place a link to your Pay It Forward 4 Profits site on your Squidoo Lens it will move your PIF4P website up the Google rankings significantly.

Powerful Developments For Building An MLM Home Business
For most, joining an mlm home business opportunity is not a challenge. Also, it is the most powerful wealth generating opportunity available and forms the only realistic hope of a creating a stress-free lifestyle for many people. How else can you start a business with as little as a few hundred dollars with the potential to earn an income equal to a Fortune 500 CEO? Claims abound that anyone, regardless of their education, cultural background, ethnicity, gender or financial state at start up, can succeed. So, why is it that so many people never achieve such quality of life through the mlm home business industry, when so many others do?
Research shows that many people have no idea how to promote anything, let alone a business opportunity, which is why such a high percentage of people, who started with such enthusiasm, fail. It will make little difference which mlm home business opportunity you select. It can have the best ever compensation plan, the best ever products, the best ever management team, the best ever website and back office, but it will be of little use unless you have the know-how to market and promote. If you do not know how, I suggest you stop looking for an opportunity and start learning and mastering the art of marketing and promotion, both offline and online.
This doesn't mean that you have to set aside your ambitions to start earning money in the short term. On the internet, there is a good selection of organisations that will teach you very effective methods of marketing and promoting based on the techniques used by the absolute masters of marketing - the mail order industry. I am not suggesting that you join the mail order or direct response fraternity, just learn from them. The very nature of mail order makes it essential to cover promotion costs at a very early stage in a campaign. This has always been a thorn in the side of mlm. Many of the mail order tactics are being adapted to promote mlm home businesses with phenomenal success. In fact, combining the strategies used in mail order with the leveraging power and residual income of mlm is rapidly overtaking traditional techniques.
If you have already joined an mlm home business opportunity and your upline team are not using mail order promotion tactics, it may be because they have already built their business using traditional mlm methods and don’t feel the need to change. However, don’t limit the speed of growth of your mlm home business by ignoring this very powerful discovery.

Traffic Exchanges - just a couple of points that may help
First, traffic exchanges are used mostly by people who are trying to sell something. That means that in general, Traffic Exchange users are not buyers, but there are exceptions.
I would hazard a guess that you are having a go at building an income for yourself on the internet. Let's assume that as a part of your promotion campaign you are using the Traffic Exchanges. As you spend your time clicking for credits, you see other websites that are competing with you for visitors. You ignore them because you are not interested in another business opportunity.
Then the very next webpage opens offering you a bunch of information about different strategies to help increase your sales. All you have to do is fill in the webform with your name and email address.
Is this more interesting to you? I'll bet it is. In fact, if you are anything like me, you'll waste no time submitting your details.
The point here is that you will get an enormous amount of additional traffic from the traffic exchanges if you understand that almost everyone surfing the traffic exchanges will be ten times more interested in anything that may help them build their business.
Second. How do you know which traffic exchanges are actually delivering your hits? You see, in every industry some operators are not so honest. The Traffic Exchange industry has its fair share of unsavoury characters. They collect your hits rather than show your website to other members. Having collected a percentage of everyones hits, they sell them. Unless you have a way of monitoring that the traffic exchange actually delivers on its promises, you could be ripped off. Yes, I know that most traffic exchanges are free, but your time isn't. Okay, so what do you do about it?
